Who can submit?Presenting at the conference is a membership benefit. Submissions are welcome from individuals from varied professional backgrounds and experience, such as those with language and clinical expertise and those in training. Students are strongly encouraged to submit proposals, including those working on projects that are still in progress (e.g., summer research) and expected to have results ready for presentation by the time of the conference. Presentation TypesOral Presentations: Oral presentations are 20-minute formal talks presenting a contribution of original knowledge by one or more authors. Each session includes 15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A. Poster Presentations: Poster presentations display a contribution of original knowledge as part of the conference’s poster session. Posters are particularly well suited for visually oriented information such as charts, graphs, tables, and diagrams. At least one author must be present during the poster session to discuss the work and answer questions. Panel Presentations: Panel presentations are 60-minute multi-presenter sessions that allow for in-depth exploration of a topic aligned with conference objectives and tracks. Panels may take the form of a series of coordinated presentations, a workshop designed to teach a focused skill, or another format that benefits from extended interactive discussion. Panel sessions must incorporate meaningful audience engagement and active learning. You may submit multiple proposals; however, each proposal must be submitted separately.
